Point Road Campground

Point Road Campground offers a tranquil campsite in the magnificent Boranup Forest section of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National park around 21 kilometres south west of Margaret River and 25 kilometres north of Augusta.

Point of difference:

Point Road Campground is a small and sheltered campground set amidst peppermint woodland and situated on the edge of marri-karri forests. This is an excellent place for those who want to get up close and personal with nature. The property is home to a wealth of brushtail possums that are very active during the night and on dusk. Also common are southern brown bandicoots. The ideal time to visit Point Road Campground is summer, autumn and spring. It can get quite wet and cold during winters.

Point Road Campground doesn’t have any designated bays and it can cater for around 10 cars. 4WD campervans are permitted at the property, however caravans are not allowed.


Point Road Campground is located at Point Road, Boranup, Western Australia 6286. It is approximately a three hour drive from the city of Perth.

Point Road Campground is only accessible by 4WD and is just 20 metres off Cape to Cape Track.

Entry fee doesn’t apply. Camping fee applies and should be paid at the self-registration station.

Garbage disposal services aren’t available and hence you should take your garbage with you

Please note that reservations don’t apply at this campsite. It operates on the first come, first serve basis. You should contact the administration during peak tourist season for availability.

Point Road Campground is an ideal place to stay for those who want to explore the various attractions of the South West. It offers 4WD access to a delightful forest area with some small campsites near a surfing and fishing beach. Other popular activities in the area include wildlife interaction and bush walking.
